Presentations & Downloads
Choose from these popular options, or contact me to deliver something custom-produced for your audience. Presentations are virtual; in-person presentations will resume in 2022.
This 45-minute, 1:1 or group option includes a high-level, nonacademic overview on helpful resources, processes and options for building a compelling, creative narrative from historical and genealogical information. 15 minutes will be reserved for Q&A time, making this a full hour of dedicated instruction, inspiration and collaboration. Archives demonstrations can be tailored to your state, region or community for optimal relevance. 1:1 or small group sessions can be broad, or tailored to a particular challenge or idea that you’d like to explore.
A Sense of Place: Site Specific Presentation
This custom, 30-minute presentation focuses on the location, communities and people of a specific time and place. This narrative focus weaves a story from local facts and folklore to create an engaging virtual event for genealogical and historical societies, corporate and organizational training, and social events.
Guided Virtual Tour: A Custom Creative Journey
This customizable, 30-minute tour will highlight interesting items in archive, museum or library collections. Tours are planned around themes which may include subject matter, place, art movement or pop culture. Fully custom themes are available, with an option to learn from a curator or other art and history professional.
Beyond the Family Tree: Creative Heritage
In this semi-customizable one-hour session, we will talk about the benefits, methods and available resources for producing creative work around local histories, folklore and ancestry. Sample topics include visual art, writing, and storytelling, along with creative prompts and idea starters to take away. I will speak for approximately 30 minutes, with time for questions and answers, guided brainstorming and thought starters comprising the remainder of time.
Live presentation fees will vary based on final scope of work and potential customization.
Presentations will be delivered virtually until 2022.
Virtual presentations will be delivered through Zoom.
I don’t present pro-bono, but nonprofit rates and other considerations are available.
Please Note: Khattak Studios will be closed for new business from Nov. 30 to January 17, and closed for holiday break from December 20 to January 5. Most presentations take at least three weeks to plan, prepare and deliver. Please plan accordingly if you are interested in scheduling a presentation in 2021. I always want to accommodate every request, but my availability goes quickly toward the end of the year!
